Small Feet, das Folk-Pop-Projekt um den schwedischen Singer-Songwriter Simon Stålhamre, hat zwar seit 2015 bereits zwei Alben veröffentlicht, gelten aber immer noch irgendwie als Geheimtipp. Zuletzt erschien Anfang des Jahres die Platte „With Psychic Powers“. Gerne wird die Gruppe mit Band of Horses verglichen. In der „My Soundtrack“-Liste, die Stalhamre für uns kuratiert hat, taucht die Band aber nicht auf.

Das Ding ist einfach komplett genial. Es hat die Art und Weise, wie ich Musik höre, verändert. Damals hatte man nicht viele weibliche Vorbilder, aber nachdem ich das Video gesehen hatte, wollte ich ein Mädchen mit Gitarre werden. Mehr kann man darüber nicht sagen.
Aphex Twin – Come to Daddy
Might need no introduction. I remember this rolling on MTV, long sleepless nights. I recorded it on a VHS cassette and watched it over and over again.
Das hier braucht wohl keine große Einleitung. Das Ding lief damals auf MTV, in langen schlaflosen Nächten. Ich habe das auf VHS-Kassette aufgenommen und es immer wieder angeschaut.
Feist – I Feel it All
This makes me happy. What more can you ask for? Cool musicians and fireworks … Feist has been such a great inspiration. I could just list a bunch of songs from her and this list would be complete. (haha)
Das macht mich sehr glücklich. Was kann man mehr wollen? Coole Musiker und Feuerwerke … Feist waren eine sehr große Inspiration. Ich könnte einfach eine ganze Reihe an Songs aufzählen und diese Liste hier wäre wohl komplett. (haha)
Sonic Youth – Superstar
They’re just one of the best bands ever existed. I met Kim Gordon in a bar in Oslo once, but I didn’t dare to say hi. Damn me! If I would get the chance again, I would never miss that opportunity again.
Eine der besten Bands, die es jemals gegeben hat. Ich hab Kim Gordon einmal in einer Bar in Oslo getroffen, mich aber nicht getraut, mal „Hallo“ zu sagen. Verdammt! Wenn ich die Chance nochmal hätte, würde ich sie sicher nicht nochmal verpassen.
