Marla und David Celia sind zwei Reisende. Die beiden Musiker sind, ehe die Pandemie über die Welt hereinbrach, ständig unterwegs gewesen, haben mehr als 200 Shows in Europa, Kanada und Russland gespielt, im Gepäck ihre Stimmen und ihre Gitarre. 2018 ist mit „Daydreamers“ ihr erstes gemeinsames Album erschienen, im vergangenen Oktober haben die beiden mit „Indistinct Chatter“ den Nachfolger vorgelegt. Eine Platte ohne Genre-Grenzen, die sich irgendwo im Spannungsfeld zwischen Retro-Pop, Folk, Alternative, Psychedelic Folk, Singer-Songwriter-Mucke und Beatles-Anleihen bewegt. Die Texte kreisen um das Leben in der Gegenwart. Einem Leben in Zeiten von Überproduktion, Kapitalismus, Mitgefühl füreinander und dem Wunsch nach Veränderung. Ironischerweise spielten einige Songs, die vor der globalen Pandemie geschrieben wurden, auf den drohenden Untergang der Menschheit an. Einfach mal reinhören!
