Sie haben alles auf eine Karte gesetzt: Nachdem Ryan Henderson und Matt Carins eine Handvoll Songs geschrieben und in der Garage eines Freundes aufgenommen hatten, beschlossen die beiden, ihre Nebenjobs als Zimmermann und Bauingenieur aufzugeben. 2017 erschien die Debüt-EP „Wanderlust“, 2019 das Debütalbum „Moments“ des Duos aus Brisbane. Darauf zu hören: fesselnder Indie-Folk. „Jedes Lied wurde in den letzten Jahren zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt unseres Lebens in verschiedenen Städten geschrieben“, so Ryan. „Wir hoffen, dass unsere Musik eine positive Wirkung haben kann. Wenn Menschen mit einer anderen Perspektive weggehen – inspiriert, motiviert oder einfach nur ein wenig mehr vom Leben begeistert, dann würden wir das als einen großen Erfolg betrachten.“ Wie ein Tag im Leben von Hollow Coves so aussieht, zeigt uns die Band in dieser 24-Stunden-Folge, die Ende 2019 entstand.

Gold Coast
7am surf check a few steps from our back door. If the waves are good Matt will usually start his day off with a surf. We both live next to the beach on the Gold Coast. It’s a pretty beautiful place to wake up to. (foto: hollow coves)
Friends

Pre-Production
10 am – Back at the house working on some music for our upcoming tours. We normally have a call with our manager every couple of days and we will talk through what we need to get done. However, today we were going through pre-production for our live show. (foto: hollow coves)
Heading Off

Rehearsal

Quick stop

Dinner
Finished the day at a friend’s place for dinner. We’ve got such a good community around us and we normally end the day back at one of our houses with every around hanging out drinking wine and eating delicious food. (foto: hollow coves)
