Ein Mann mit einer Botschaft: Der harte Alltag in den Arbeitervierteln Miamis prägte den Wunsch von Sänger Marquise Fair, zur positiven Stimme für Menschen zu werden, die Probleme überwinden wollen. Aufgewachsen mit Ghetto-Blues und Spiritual-Gesängen, trat er mit seiner Soul-Pop-, Jazz- und Reggae-Musik beim renommierten Montreux Jazz Festival und bei „American Idol“ auf. Auf seinem gerade erschienenen zweiten Album „Better World“ behandelt der US-Musiker in intimen und introspektiven Songs Themen wie Resilienz, Liebe und Hoffnung. Dafür arbeitete Fair mit Musikern zusammen, denen schon David Bowie, Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo und Erykah Badu ihr Vertrauen schenkten. Reinhören lohnt sich – und reinschauen. Und zwar in diese 24-Stunden-Episode, die der Gute für uns auf die Beine gestellt hat.

Breakfast
Breakfast is definitely my favorite meal of the day, on this plate is fried egg, rice and beans, sautéed onions and vegetable mix with fried plantains. Luckily a friend of mine made this for me. (foto: Marquise Fair)
Gym
This is the public gym inside the park near where I live. When I am not in school I use this gym instead of the university gym. Going to be working out for 30 minutes to an hour before I head home to help my mom with her garden. (foto: Marquise Fair)
Garden
Today I will be helping my mom in her garden. We already harvested the watermelon and sweet potatoes now I have to dig a foundation to prepare the soil for seeding for different crop. This time it will be peanuts and string beans we also have an orange tree and more plants coming soon. (foto: Marquise Fair)
Extras
While I am not touring in Europe I am attending school and working as an actor mainly extra roles. I am usually on tv sets in the background most of the time my face is not being shown. In this photo the group working with me took my phone and left this photo for me. (foto: Marquise Fair)
Statistics
My statistics class, I have not done many things that have been this hard. Studying and taking exams on massive amounts of material in short periods of time. Pushing through, staying consistent and passing University courses, is very rewarding because the difficulty is extremely high. (foto: Marquise Fair)
