Patti Smith – Because the Night
Patti is just pure passion. She puts so much of herself into this song and it is one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever heard. It is also my go-to karaoke song.
Patti ist einfach pure Leidenschaft. Sie bringt einfach so viel von sich selbst ein in diesen Song und es ist wohl einer der verletzlichsten, die ich je gehört habe. Außerdem der Karaoke-Song meiner Wahl.
Frédéric Chopin – Nocturne in E flat major, op. 9, no. 2
I would say 50% of the music I listen to is instrumental or classical music. Chopin is my favorite. Nocturnes, to me, are medicine. Guaranteed relief and relaxation and meditation. This Nocturne always makes weight lift off my back and stress melt away.
Ich würde sagen, dass 50 Prozent meines Musikkonsums instrumental oder klassisch ist. Chopin ist mein Favorit. “Nocturnes” ist wie Medizin für mich. Garantierte Erleichterung, Entspannung und Meditation. Diese “Nocturne” nimmt mir die Last von den Schultern und lässst den Stress wegschmelzen.
Jason Molina – Get Out Get Out Get Out
I’ve never felt so connected to someone just by hearing them sing words then I have with Jason Molina. I feel as if I’m sitting right next to him going through his pain with him. This is one of the most tragic songs Jason wrote, but it’s such a perfect example of his effectiveness and honesty.
Ich habe mich noch nie mit jemandem – nur aufgrund der Worte, die er singt – so verbunden gefühlt wie mit Jason Molina. Lhasa is my favourite female voice ever. It’s a shame her life was cut so short and I can really see her greatness in this song. She is so many things rolled into 1. Sexy, shy, masculine, powerful, vulnerable…this song is so full of good vibe and groove.
Lhasa hat absolut meine liebste weibliche Stimme. Es ist eine Schande, das ihr Leben so kurz war. Ich kann wirklich die Großartigkeit in diesem Song sehen. Sie ist so viele Dinge in einem. Sexy, schüchtern, maskulin, kraftvoll, verletzlich – dieser Song ist voller guter Vibes und Groove.
Andy Shauf – Jesus, She’s A Good Girl
Andy’s album “The Bearer of Bad News” is my favourite album of the year. I can’t imagine anything else coming out that will top it for me. This song is one of the best on the album even though every song is genius. Great vocals, great melody, great production. I will champion him any chance I get even though I don’t know him at all.
Andys Album “The Bearer of Bad News” ist mein liebstes Album in diesem Jahr. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, das noch etwas erscheint, dass dies hier noch toppt. Dieser Song ist einer der besten auf der Platte, obwohl alle Songs genial sind. Großartiger Gesang, großartige Melodien, großartige Produktion. Ich werde ihn jederzeit bestärken, auch wenn ich ihn gar nicht kenne.
