My Soundtrack: Lalume

1. Andy Stott – Numb

„Numb“ is a beautiful combination of a simple repetitive vocal line with a dark and ambient soundscape. It gets even better when the industrial sounding rolling kick pattern kicks in.

2. Född Död – De ensammas hus

This is not a typical release for the Stockholm based techno label Northern Electronics. The album “Studie i närhet, längtan och besvikelse” is a collaboration between producer Varg and vocalist SARS. It is a perfect manifestation of the North-Swedish sadness with its vague and depressed lyrics and ambient, slightly aggressive beats.

3. Sgrow – Feel Something

Not as floating as the previous tracks, Feel Something by Norwegian duo Sgrow is both sonically interesting and has an incredibly expressive vocal line.

4. Orange Blossom – Ya Sîdî

Ya Sîdî is a mix between two worlds. Based on the music from Erik Satie’s Gnossienne No. 1, it’s a contemporary trip-hop classic featuring beautiful arabic vocals sung by Hend Elwary.

5. Leisure Suite – Sweet Gin

The last track is somewhat more relaxed, but not any less beautiful. „Sweet Gin“ is a calming song about romantic stability, something that can be hard to find these days.
