My Soundtrack: Konni Kass

  1. Ray Charles – I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now

The first album I ever bought was Ray Charles‘ „Blues Before Sunrise / Late in the Evening Blues“, and it has been one of my favorite albums ever since. This song feels like home to me.

  1. The Cannonball Adderley Quintet – Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

I was brought up in a jazzy home and started playing the saxophone at the age of 12, and Cannonball was one of my many favorites. In addition to that, my brother and I have always enjoyed Gospel music together and this song was, and still is, one of our favorites.

  1. The Alan Parsons Project – Eye in the Sky

This amazing song has become the theme of the spring of 2015, when our band was formed. I believe it was Per, the drummer in our band, that introduced it to me, and the four of us couldn’t get enough of it. :)

  1. D’Angelo and The Vanguard – Really Love

D’Angelo is a big inspiration to me and I was introduced to his music when I was studying jazz vocals at school in Skurup, Sweden. I generally listen a lot to R’n’B/Soul/Jazz and I believe that it is the rhythm and groove of those genres that intrigues me.

  1. Bon Iver – 8 (Circle)

I must have listened to this song (and album) about a million times already, and every time I listen to it, I discover something new. Bon Iver is also a big inspiration to me and I really love his arrangements and productions. This song has so many different layers, and when they all collide they make an absolutely amazing sound and the sweetest music in my ears :)
