My Soundtrack: Ganjaman

1) Chris Isaak – Wicked Game
I was this goofy ADHD kid at school. Always late to class and sometimes I arrived with my shirt inside out.  I always caused problems and was late to classes.  All of a sudden this women called Anna, my law teacher, looked at me after class and asked me, ‘How is everything with you?’  She had this look in her eye that I will never forget. She basically saw straight through me.  Nothing happened to me in that moment though.  But when I got home I started to think about what I had experienced earlier. The event kept repeating in my head, along with the song „Wicked Game“. After that particular day I got addicted to both her and the song.

2) Avicii – Bromance
„Have you guys heard this? „
„He is Swedish. Tim Berg“.
It was during my first trip with my friends, and we were in Malta. I was drunk on the mid-daylight and I got sober listening to it. It was like listening to something completely new. I had never ever heard something like this. Never had I heard something so melodic and electronic.  I was used to instruments, hard rock and hip-hop.  This was something completely new – EDM!

3) Yolanda Be Cool – Americano
The next year we went to Rhodes. A party island for young Swedes with bad taste.  I was one of them and I loved it. Every time I listened to this song I felt forced to do something that shook me full of adrenalin. One time, in Club Toxic, I jumped on the bouncers back cause I wanted to „ride him“. He was a short but extremely wide guy with a tight black t-shirt on.  We both fell to the ground. Rest is black.  That was the last adrenalin kick I had for that song.

4) The Righteous Brothers – Unchained Melody
I was very young, I don’t know how old.  But this song went on during a sex act in the movie Ghost.  It was the first time I had ever seen two people have sex.  I got this manic boner during their act and I remember trying to hide it, sitting between my grandmother and my mother. But ever since that moment, when I hear this song, no matter where I am – I can feel it.  Such a wonderful memory. Proof to Freud’s intelligence.

5) Bill Medley – The Time Of My Life
Dirty Dancing.
Love that movie.
And the song takes me back to my childhood. To the time when movies actually where good and did not HAVE to have huge tits and a super hero in it. Or some robots with super special effects.
The song makes me think of a girl I had a crush on. But we never happened.

Dirty Dancing.
